Gerold leaned against the wall. It was his first day at the school and he had yet to meet anyone. Apparently everyone was at class. He looked around, someone had to come eventually, he just knew it. A couple times he thought he heard footsteps, but it turned out to be his imagination. Just as he was about to go look for someone he heard the bell ring and felt the mass of students exit their classrooms and head down the halls. Now, he would meet someone.

Hayley was sitting in class looking stupidly bored, she was falling asleep as her biology teacher groaned on about something to do with enzymes. She was busy writing lyrics to keep her busy. As the bell rang the girl shot up straight away and out of the class. Wandering down the corridor she awaited it to empty before she grabbed her electric guitar case and walked down the now quieter corridor. Hayley never was one to stand out, she was only five foot one and sunk back behind people rather easily. It was only her brightly dyed hair that would catch attention and of course her matching orange drain pipe pants. Her t-shirt was black with 'to write love on her arms' in white.
Brushing fingers through her bright hair she spotted a face she didn't recognize. Sure, he didn't look like someone she would usually talk to but she still flashed a bright smile as always and gave it a go. "Hey." She said in a cheery tone.

Gerold watched the student body walk into the hall where he stood. They mostly all looked the same, but a few stood out. One of these that stood out was a girl, possibly arround his own age, who was carrying a guitar case.
He turned back to the crowd and continued to look arround. Suddenly he heard a voice to he left. "hey!" he replied turning. It was the girl with the guitar case. "What's up?" he asked. "I'm Gerold by the way"

She let her guitar slip to the ground and propped it up against the wall when he returned her greeting. She didn't have a lesson to go to that period and she was pretty much done for the day apart from having to go and see the art teacher about an image she had shot for her portfolio. That could wait...she was actually delaying it.
A little surprised at the boy's friendly tone she figured that he had yet to work out that he was 'higher' in the school's hierarchy than her. Between the Jocks and plastics that littered the school she got glares and bitchy comments from almost all. Really, it was pathetic. She was always annoyingly friendly to them though. Her previous roommate was actually a Jock...but he broke one of her guitars by 'mistake' and Hayley took about a week to get him to willingly move out of the dorm. His bed was for now filled with all of her books and art things. "I'm Hayley." She said brightly. "You new?"

"Well," he said, "I'm either new, or I've got a serious inability to make friends," he grinned with his trademark grin. "Nice to meet you." He straightened up a bit, "so, whatcha up to?" He cursed himself for his lack of interesting conversation, but it was to be expected, he thought, he was new. This girl seemed a little uncomfortable talking to him, so he spoke up again, "what grade you in?"

Hayley laughed lightly and titled her head to the side. With a raised brow she smirked. "Cocky are we." It was all simply light sarcasm, for once she may have found a jock that could take a joke as much as make one. Unless he got offended. She shrugged lightly to his question. "Not much. I was going home but than I saw you and you looked lonely." A smile played across her lips as she teased.
She seemed to relax around him slightly, this would be no good for his 'reputation' but that wasn't her problem now was it? "I'm a Junior, how about you?" She returned quickly.

"It's the only way I roll" he grinned and laughed slightly. This girl was very interesting, the kind of girl he could get used to hanging out with. "well, don't be in to much of a hurry to leave, it would leave me even lonelier." He knew he was probably sounding like an idiot, but he didn't care, he loved jokes and making people laugh, and apparently he was succeeding as Hayley was apparently enjoying herself. "Oh, yeah, I'm a junior too," he addded, "what sort of stuff is there to do around here?" he asked, "I'll bet you're bored as hell talking to me, and I'd like to do something amazing"

She shook her head at the pretty damn lame line although it amused her quite obviously. "What makes you think I was in a hurry?" It wasn't a question really to be answers, more of a rhetorical question that was just meant to be an answer to another question. Only he didn't ask a question so that complicated things a little. She smiled as he said he was a junior, she was mostly friends with seniors who were in totally different classes but at least now she may have the off chance of knowing someone.
"Good question." She frowned lightly and leaned back against the wall her guitar was on. In thought her hair infront of her eyes annoyed her and so she blew it out of the way. "Well there are the clubs but...it's a bit earlier. Parks and green stuff. Oh there's a mall...can't think of anything else. I spend most of my time in my dorm and at the clubs." That just made her seem anti-social. She forgot to mention usually she was with friends or some of her band working on music.

He grinned, "maybe it's just because I'll bet I'm pretty boring to talk to and I'll bet you've got a billion things you want to go do." He grinned, he really did wonder why she was talking to him. It was his first day and he had expected to have to work to get anyone to notice him. Sure he could play sports pretty well, but she didn't know that. To her he could be any other guy
"That sounds cool," he said, "what clubs do you do?" he asked.

"No, you're fascinating." She said in a slightly sarcasm filled tone and a smirk across her lips. "I actually have nothing to do shockingly my company is not yet required with anyone." She laughed lightly at her comment and raised a brow with a rather broad grin of innocence across her slender expressions. Hayley attempted to be decent to everyone and it was their choice really if they were a complete bitch to her. She had no clue what this guy was like, if he was rude, a bitch. Anything. But she always gave people a chance, even those she thought would really not click with her. You had to be a certain person with a vague sense of humor to even like this girl.
"Ah well there's a wide, massive choice of two. Time to Dance and Escape...they're both pretty cool but Time has more themed nights aswell really. Escape has heavier music depending on what night you go. It all depends on the music you like but they both seem about the same when you're wasted." She shrugged and laughed light. At a certain point when drinking you just stopped caring about where you were.
